BIODEGRADABLE

Biodegradable waste is a type of waste which can be broken down, in a reasonable amount of time, into its base compounds by micro-organisms and other living things, regardless of what those compounds may be.

We embrace biodegradable products where possible including our 8oz biodegradable cups created from certified FSC board lined with a starch material, the cup is 100% compostable, so very kind to the environment and the materials used within our air filled packaging which helps to ensure the safe delivery of your products.

RECYCLABLE

Recycling is a process to change waste materials into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce the consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution (from incineration) and water pollution (from land filling) by reducing the need for "conventional" waste disposal, and lower greenhouse gas emissions as compared to plastic production. Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the “Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” waste hierarchy.

Many of our products are made of recycled materials, including a selection of our cups, plates and general packaging. We also recycle all of the cardboard packaging we receive from suppliers to form part of the packaging that you our customers receive, thus ensuring safe delivery of your chosen products. In turn we ask our customers to recycle the packaging they receive from us, thus the cycle continues as this material can be used again in the creation of many new products.

SUSTAINABLE

In ecology, sustainability is how biological systems remain diverse and productive. In general terms, sustainability is the endurance of systems and processes. The organizing principle for sustainability is sustainability development, which includes the four interconnected domains: ecology, economics, politics and culture.

We at Kingdom Coffee source as many products as possible from manufacturers who endorse sustainability, ensuring the materials used within their production are replaced through new planting and regeneration projects. This applies to our range of cups, plates and wooden eco stirrers to name but a few examples.

OUR PACKAGING

Kingdom Coffee Box Packaging

It’s not just the products we pack within our delivery boxes that is important to us but also what the boxes are made from and the information they covey. Created from sustainable sources our boxes can be recycled following your receipt to be used in the creation of many other products. Our boxes request in a light hearted manner that they are to be transported in an upright position and treated with care in accordance with their fragile cargo. In addition the shredded cardboard which protects the products within has been recycled by us from suppliers deliveries and the air filled packaging is biodegradable. Nothing is harmful, nothing goes to waste and an opportunity is available to our customers to continue the life cycle of the materials through disposal in a responsible manner.
