As a proud partner in the Go-Recycle initiative, we are proud to disclose our commitment to sustainability and our active contribution to a truly circular economy through the recycling of Old Corrugated Containers (OCC) - or simply cardboard - packaging.

By participating in the Go-Recycle scheme, we are adopting a simple, responsible, and cost-effective method to enhance our own sustainability credentials and deliver measurable environmental impact.

What is the Go-Recycle Initiative?

The Go-Recycle programme, provided by Go-Pak Group (part of SCGP Packaging), is an innovative, closed-loop cardboard recycling service designed to make recycling your used cardboard easy and efficient.

It specifically targets OCC (Old Corrugated Containers) - the used cardboard packaging that comes from boxes and shipping materials. Recycling this material is a vital part of the circular economy.

How the Closed-Loop System Works

The initiative is designed to keep materials in circulation and minimise waste - using small steps:

- Collect: Go-Pak collects our OCC/cardboard waste alongside our regular product deliveries.

- Process: Our materials are processed at their Sharpness facility.

- Return: The OCC is then loaded for return to the SCGP Papermills in Thailand and Vietnam.

- Recycle: The recycled materials are made into new cardboard packaging and non-food contact cardboard products within the SCGP Group. These items may be delivered back into our very own supply chain.

This simple, efficient, and sustainable process supports our ESG (Environment, Sustainable, and Governance) goals and helps us recycle our recyclable materials more efficiently.

- Regulatory Compliance: The service helps us comply with regulations - such as the requirement from April 2025 for UK businesses to separate recyclable waste streams - by simplifying the process of capturing clean, separated cardboard value.

- Simplified Waste Management: Direct OCC collection increases our recycling volumes and helps streamline our operations by integrating recycling removal seamlessly with product delivery.
